Gonzalo
Cañas
(1937-2012)
After getting his degree in the School of Dramatic Arts in Madrid,
he makes his professional debut in 1962 as co-starring actor in the Maria Guerrero Theatre.He has worked ever since as a director, actor, producer, script writer or scenographer
in 25 films, 30 plays and 50 television programmes.He has also co-operated as a creative for several advertising companies,
worked as puppet theatre specialist and written text books about theatre for secondary schools,
published by Ediciones Santillana.He passed away in October 2012, but his memory is kept alive thanks to his beloved Teatro de Autómatas.
